As the Retail Sales Associates/Analysts for an asset management company, your responsibilities include engaging with retail clients, such as individual investors and retail financial advisors, to promote and sell investment products and services. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with retail clients through effective communication and providing personalized investment advice based on their financial goals and risk tolerance. Additionally, you will be conducting market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to inform sales strategies. Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers and product specialists, to deliver comprehensive investment solutions and address client inquiries. Leverage strong sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities to drive sales growth, meet revenue targets, and enhance the company’s reputation in the retail market.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute own sales strategy to identify Retail clients
- Recommend appropriate investment products to retail clients
- Understand competitors’ products and services to be able to counter resistance from prospects
- Ensure sales reports are sent on time
- Effectively use technology to win clients
- Support team members to ensure Organizational goals are met
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum BA/BSc (2nd Class Upper) or HND (Upper Credit)
- At least 3 years’ experience in marketing Investment Products in Nigeria
- Experience doing digital marketing for an Asset Management Firm or Fintech company is desirable
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian capital and money markets
- A self-starter with good interpersonal skills
- Good command of written and spoken English language
- Ability to design presentations and reports using MS PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
- SEC sponsored individual status will be an advantage
