Head, Sales & Marketing / Business Development

As the Head of Sales & Marketing/Business Development, you are expected to lead the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and maximize revenue. The role will involve overseeing the sales team, setting sales targets, and developing strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company’s client base. Additionally, leading the marketing team in developing marketing campaigns, branding strategies, and promotional activities to enhance the company’s market presence and visibility. Furthermore, you will identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities and stay ahead of competitors. Leveraging strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, while driving business development efforts to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop market penetrating sales strategies appropriate for Institutions, HNIs and Retail Investors
  • Continually open sales channels for the entire sales team
  • Accompany sales team on visits to key/potential clients as needed
  • Develop innovative investment products and swiftly respond to competitors
  • Drive and motivate sales team to meet up with aggressive targets.
  • Ensure sales reports are reported to the CEO on time

 

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum BA/BSc (2nd Class Upper) or HND (Upper Credit)
  • At least 8 years’ experience in marketing Investment Products in Nigeria
  • In-depth knowledge of the Asset Management Industry in Nigeria and products offered
  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian capital and money markets
  • SEC sponsored individual status will be an advantage
  • Evidence of a diverse network of clients
  • Experience doing digital marketing for a Fintech company is desirable
  • High energy and ability to motivate teams
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word for presentations
  • Ability to fluently articulate the value-add of our products to current and potential clients
